Jefferson Davis Holland, 80, father of Sergeant Mason Holland, of the Norfolk Police Department, died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. H.W. Bennett, 664 North Spring street, Winston-Salem, yesterday morning at 12:30 o'clock.
Besides his daughter and son, he is survived by a stepdaughter, Mrs. I.L. Snowden, a stepson, Forest Phelps, both of Norfolk, five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Holland was a native of Nansemond County, but had been a resident for Norfolk for 50 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
