Ralph was the third child and oldest son of Peter and Emma Melhorn. He was a Diabetic and at 16 he died in his Pop's arms. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lydia Eckenrode Melhorn (1862-1916). He left behind 3 brothers, Hal, Robert & Kenneth and 3 sisters, Olive, Marie & Roena, His Grandparents Jonathan Melhorn and Nicholas & Jane Wyland.
