I didn't know Jeff personally but was a face book friend of his love Darlene Roberts. My heart broke for her & all of Jeff's family when I learned he had cancer. I myself went thru colon cancer 4 yrs. ago & I lost my dad and a big brother to it as well.I know what Jeff & his loved ones went thru & my.. what they are going thru now. I know they will find strength in the love he left here with them & comfort in knowing he is now free of all pain. I know Jeff is up there in Heaven looking down here @ them and would want them all to continue on with their lives as he would want them to if he was still here. His love still surrounds them.

Jeffrey Turner Coleman, age 43, of Gatesville, and Fort Worth, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012, at his mother's home in Gatesville, with his loving family at his side.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville. Following the service, family and friends will gather at his mother's home. A memorial service will be held in Fort Worth at a later date.

Jeff was born on August 1, 1968, in Kerrville, Texas. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1987. He then lived between Fort Worth, Gatesville, Kerrville and points beyond. Jeff did a variety of work from being a bouncer/bartender to driving a truck, but he primarily moved furniture. He loved moving furniture, meeting new people, going different places, being involved in other's lives and helping them. He was always smiling and joking, never meeting a stranger. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by family and friends alike.

Jeff was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Shelton; grandparents, Roy and Ima Coleman of Kerrville and Gertrude Hooker of Kerrville; and by numerous other family and friends.

Survivors include his son, Jordan Westbrook-Coleman of Gatesville; his girlfriend, Darlene Roberts; his sisters, Rachel Coleman and fiancée, Jason Morgan, and Veronica Smith and husband, Rudy Smith, of Gatesville; parents, Vivian and Travis Moore of Gatesville and John and Marsha Coleman of Kerrville; grandparents, Roy and Betty Hooker of Gatesville; his son's mother, Anne Westbrook; nieces and nephews, Candice Gray of Midland, Zack Coleman of Valley Mills, Leslie Coleman of Belton, Samantha Coleman, Natalie Coleman, Taylor Coleman, Raynie Coleman, Wacey Corley, Rhysa Smith, Kyler Smith and Rylee Smith, all of Gatesville; aunts, uncles and cousins of a large and loving extended family; and many supportive and dedicated friends.

Jeff loved to play video games. He enjoyed karaoke and playing pool or darts. He loved spending time with friends and family just hanging out. He always had a two liter of soda in one hand and a cigarette (or other smoking substance) in the other hand. He had a love of life. Jeff never had a lot of material things, but always had a lot of friends.
