Doris Albrecht, 82, Mitchell, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Firesteel Healthcare Center in Mitchell. Services will be Monday, 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery in Mitchell. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bittner Funeral Chapel in Mitchell.
Doris Martha Albrecht was born April 25, 1924 at Watertown, WI, to William and Martha (Krueger) Beckmann. She grew up at Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School in 1941. On June 15, 1947 she married Carlton Oscar Albrecht in Watertown, WI. They lived in Flandreau, SD and she had been a resident of Mitchell since 1963. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and was a member of the South Dakota Chiropractic Auxiliary serving as Treasurer for a number of years.
She is survived by two sons, Kieth and wife, Cathy Albrecht of Plankinton, SD; Dr. Bruce and wife Kathy Albrecht of Mitchell, SD; his grandchildren: Ferra and husband,
Josh Kemp; Amy and husband David Deichert; Justin and fiance Chelsey Mahon; Jeffery Albrecht and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. C. O. Albrecht, February 19, 2007 and two brothers, Rev. Robert Beckmann and William Beckmann.
