Services for Elma Irene Boelling, 79, Red Oak, will be at 2 PM today at the Sellergren-Lindell Funeral Home here with the Rev. Byron Paxton officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.
She Died Saturday at the Red Oak Good Samaritan Center following a nine-month illness.
Mrs. Boelling was born Jul 31, 1907, in Grand River to Mrs. and Mrs. Paul Jones. She married Wayne Boelling in Des Moines Oct 6, 1930.
Reared in Grand River, Mrs. Boelling had lived in Villisca for 12 years. She had lived in Montgomery County since September of 1943, serving in the Nishnabotna Girl Scout Council for more than 30 years. Mrs. Boelling was a housewife.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Navy mothers, VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Lendel Boelling of Sumner, Wash.; and Randal Boelling of Bedminister, N.J.; three daughters, Joan Hayes of Glenwood, Judy Herold of Shenandoah, and Jeanne Harris of Nebraska City, Neb.; 11 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three brothers James Jones of Stanton, Paul Jones of Colorado Springs Colo.; and Herschel Jones of Winkelman Ariz.; four sisters, Zeta West of New Virginia, Hazel Alber of Boone, Darlene Emery of Lincoln Neb.; and Opal Harrison of Cambridge.
Memorials are suggested to either the American Cancer Society or the Red Oak Rescue Unit.
