Templeton
William M. Templeton, age 77 years, died at his home on Prairie avenue Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. A short service will be held at the residence Tuesday at 12:15 following which remains will be taken to Fairfield where a service will be held and the interment take place in the family lot in Evergreen cemetery at that city. The decedent was a resident of Ottumwa since 1888. The survivors are:
Two daughter, Mrs. L Dell Welch of Los Angeles and Mrs. Maude McGregor of Fairfield; four sons M. H. of Greeley, Colo, Frank S of Denver, Guy M. of Mitchell S. D. and James W. of Ottumwa, at whose home the death occurred.

Wm. Templeton
Died In Ottumwa
William M. Templeton, a former resident of Fairfield, died Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at his home in Ottumwa. Death was due to progressive paralysis.
Funeral services will be held in Fairfield at 2:30 o'clock p.m. Tuesday, at the home of Mrs. L.M. McGregor on South Main street. The services will be in charge of Rev. C. P. Forman. Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery.
Previous to this a short funeral service will be held Tuesday at is late residence, after which the remains will be brought to Fairfield, arriving here at 2:17 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. Templeton is survived by the following children: W.H. Templeton, Greeley, Colo.; Frank S. Templeton, Denver, Colorado; Guy M. Templeton, Mitchell, S.D.; J.W. Templeton, Ottumwa, Ia.; Mrs. L. Dell Welch, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. L. M. McGregor, Fairfield. There are also a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
William M. Templeton was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Templeton and was born in Warren county, Ohio, June 5th, 1837. He came with his parents to Jefferson county when a boy.
October 17, 1858 he was married to Miss Melinda Galliher and to this union the children were born. Mrs. Templeton died October 19, 1880.
Mr. Templeton married Miss Theresa Galliher, a sister of his first wife, Jan. 8, 1886. Soon after this marriage Mr. and Mrs. Templeton went to Creston to reside and about 26 years ago they removed to Ottumwa. Mrs. Templeton died Dec. 9, 1912. Mr. Templeton had been a farmer but has been retired for a number of years.
