Daughter of Lewis Davis and Rosa Morrow Davis of Elizabeth City, Virginia.

Friday, the 13th, about half past eleven in the morning, a fearful explosion, caused by the careless handling of a friction primer, took place in one of the buildings of the government cartridge factory on Brown's Island near Richmond, resulting in the death of over 39 persons and the wounding of 24 others, some in critical condition. Among the wounded was Annie Davis. She later died about a month later and was buried on the 29th.
