Albert was born to Robert and Louise Rieck at Ixonia, WI and moved to Todd County, Minnesota as a child with the family. He served 1 1/2 years with the U.S. armed forces overseas during WWI and was a member of Isaac H. Lyons Post 326 American Legion, Verndale. He was married to Betsy Johnson in 1919 and resided in Bartlett and Stowe Prairie townships where he farmed and performed carpentry. Mr. Rieck also was a member of Dist 112 school board and a member of Trinity Lutheran at Staples. He is survived by his wife, Betsy and sisters, Alma Brede and Hertha Farmer, brothers, Emil, Otto and Walter.
