I don't know when he came to the U.S., but he was a veteran of WWII where he served in the Army. I didn't realize that until I was able to obtain his obituary from Connecticut.
Mr. Larsen died when his tractor rolled over on him. He was out working in his North Carolina field. When he didn't return to the house as expected, his daughter Anna Marie went looking for him and found him under the tractor. I cannot even imagine what that did to her.
He must not have known the husband of his only daughter was abusing her... if he did, he probably would have killed him.
