Mr. Bowie, 68, of Woodford, died at Mary Washington Hospital. He had retired from the Naval Surface Warfare Center after 23 years. He was a member of the Caroline Ruritan Club and a past deacon of the Bowling Green Baptist Church. He was survived by his wife, a daughter, a son and two grandchildren.
