Wing River - Funeral services were held at the Hope Chapel Friday afternoon for William Henrikson who was killed by lightning on September 26 as he was working in a field near his farm. Rev. J.C. Youngblood officiated at the services.
Mr. Henrikson was born April 18, 1893, at Cullen, Ill. He was married Oct. 5, 1920 to Miss Elsie Payne of Verndale. He was a resident of Wing township for 24 years and owned and operated a farm in east Wing River. He was a veteran of World War one.
Surviving are his wife and two children, Mrs. Edna Perkins of Minneapolis, and a son, Faye, age 12, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hendrikson of Verndale; four sisters, Mrs. Tina Hosner of Cullen, Ill., Mrs. Ray Nelson of Wing River, Mrs. Dave Novak of California and Mrs. Clara Linscotta.
Interment was in the Greenlawn cemetery near Verndale.
