Joseph Addy
A Memorial Mass is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 19, at St. Mary Church, Port Washington, with Father Tom Biersack officiating. Because there was no visitation, everyone is asked to meet at the Church at 11 a.m.

Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington.
Mr. Addy, 73, of 138 Park St., Port Washington, died Nov. 15 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Milwaukee.

He was born July17, 1919 in Detroit, Mich. to William and Alice Barrett Addy.

He served in the Coast Guard during World War II, from 1941 to 1946.

On June 1m 1942, he and Elizabeth Schneider were married in Detroit, Mich.

The couple moved to Port Washington from Michigan in the 1950’s.

Mr. Addy was an investigator for the Credit Bureau of Milwaukee for more than 30 years, retiring in 1984.
He and his wife were foster parents to more than 25 children while rearing six of their own.

An outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, Mr. Addy and his wife enjoyed their many hours spent working in their garden which he displayed with pride.

He and his family spent vacations camping in various parts of country.

Mr. Addy is survived by his wife, Betty, and his six children, Alice Hamilton, Holcomb, Kan., Mary Lou Neuens, Milwaukee, Barbara Schwartz, Port Washington, Jo-Ann Pagel of Milwaukee, Terry of Port Washington, and Tom, Saukville.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two sisters, Honorah Miller, Bayonet Point, Fla. and Gertrude Albrecht, St. Clair Shores, Mich. and two brothers, Robert Addy of Lansing, Mich. and William Addy of Florida.
