Graveside memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Niebull Cemetery in Big Flats. Military Honors will be presented by the Joseph J. White American Legion Post #442.
Alfred was born December 11, 1920 in Racine, Wisconsin to Carl and Metta Andersen.
He attended school in Racine and then enlisted with the United States Army Air-Corp serving during WWII.
Alfred married Shirley Haskins on October 29, 1966 in Racine, in 1970 they moved to Big Flats where he worked for the Big Flats Township until he was 89 years old. Alfred was a founding member and captain of the Big Flats Fire & Rescue Dept.
He enjoyed being around people, especially his family.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Metta Andersen; brothers, Carl, Chris, Harold and Augie; Sisters, Emma & Holda; first wife, Evelyn and his dogs, Chico & Ginger.
