YORK Daniel O. Bumbaugh, Sr., 90, died Monday, January 22, 2007, at York Hospital. He was the companion of Margaret R. Mundis for 32 years. Mr. Bumbaugh was born on January 11, 1917, in Waynesboro, the son of the late Harry T. and Lele May (Clopper) Bumbaugh. He was a superintendent at Borg Warner, formerly the York Corp., for 39 and a half years in the Refrigeration and Air Handling Division. He is remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of everyone he touched. His strong faith shone in his warm and loving personality through which he found the good in all. Mr. Bumbaugh is survived by two daughters, Linda A. Collier and her husband, George of York and Penny A. Hogan and her husband, Tom of Sinking Springs; one son. Daniel O. Bumbaugh, Jr. and his wife, Joan of Shrewsbury; one brother, Earl Bumbaugh of Waynesboro; seven grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Bumbaugh and a sister, Arlene Bumbaugh. The funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 1775 E. Market St., York, with the Rev. Brenda M. Ritterpusch officiating. There will be a viewing Thursday in the church's Owens Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Friday at the church. Burial will be at Mount Rose Cemetery. Etzweiler Funeral home and Cremation Services, 1111 E. Market St., York, is in charge of arrangements.
