Verna Mae King 85 of Muncie passed away January 24th 2010. A native of Ky. She was born February 17th 1924 in Calloway Co. to Eddie Lee Chadwick Morton and Carlos Watson Morton. She is survived by brothers Mason Morton wife (Mindy) Muncie, Jerry Morton wife (Judy ) Cape Coral, Fl. nieces Betty Schounce and Wanda Pitman Muncie, nephews Christopher Morton Del Ray Beach, Fl. and Kerry Morton Coral Springs, Fl. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William A. (Tony) King sisters Vonela Witty and Moela Elmore and a brother Charles Edwin Morton. Funeral Services will be held at Parson Mortuary Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. With Rev. James Hilton. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday 1-4 and prior to service.
