Was employed at the Mangus Fruit Farm for 14 years,and prior to that was employed by Baird's Orchard for 15 yeras.
Son of Samuel and Laura (Walters)Eckard, and married Laura Drummond.
Surviving: wife, son Edward, Hollidaysburg and daughter Alice of Altoona; five stepchildren: John Drummond, Allan Drummond, Bruce Drummond, Vivian Hardman, Linda Croft; eight grandchildre; nine step-grandchildren.
Friends received in Stark Memorial Funeral Home, Salem, 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Services held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Carson Valley Cemetery Chapel, by Rev. Uri H. Stauffer Jr. Interment will follow. (Duncansville, PA)
