Dr. Myles B. Sharkey, 106 Parkway Drive, a veteran of World
War 1, died Monday morning in the National Veterans' Hospital in Bath, after a long illness.

Dr. Sharkey served as a first lieutenant in the Army Medical Corps in 1917 and 1918.

Mr. Sharkey was born in Syracuse and attended Central High School. Upon graduation with his M. D. from the University of Maryland,Baltimore, he interned at Bay View Hospital, Baltimore. Following his Army career, he practiced medicine in Syracuse. He was a member of Theta Nu Epsilon, Omega Kappa, the American Legion, the Elks. Eagles and Moose.
Two sisters, Miss Mary A. Sharkey and Mrs. William J. Hughes and several nieces and nephews survive.
