A. E. McManigal was born in Scioto County, Ohio, October 6, 1855. The family moved to this county in 1864 and settled on homestead.

He was married September 1, 1893, to Louise Jenks of Indiana, and they made Blair their home. The wife died October 16, 1918.

The deceased was associated with the early history of this county and watched its growth from the Pioneer times until now. He was a free hearted, good, sincere man who had many friends who held him in the highest esteem.

He took sick last November with a bad cold from which he never recovered, and on last Sunday, February 18 at 8:40, he passed away.

The funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Reverend Smalley officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

He is survived by one son, B. F. McManigal, of Ft. Lupton, Colorado, who came to care for him before he died and remained until after the funeral.
