Lou attended Guyan Valley HS, Branchland, WV. Married Ronald Lee Kerr May 3, 1955 in Pleasant Lake, IN. The Kerr family moved to Hampton/Newport News, Va. in 1964. Subsequently she divorced Ronald Kerr and in 1980 married Warren Brooks.
