Doris Jeans

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Springfield for Doris A. Jeans of Lewiston, Idaho, formerly of Springfield, who died June 29 of complications from a hip fracture. She was 92.

She was born Jan. 30, 1920, in Bend to Wilbur and Elsie Price Allen. She married Earl Jeans on Feb. 13, 1942, in Aberdeen, Wash. He died April 27, 2007.

She graduated from Bend High School in 1938 and Deaconess School of Nursing in 1941. She worked as an industrial nurse for 20 years at Monmouth Weyerhaeuser Plant in Springfield and at Salem Deaconess Hospital, St. Charles Hospital in Bend and Oregon College of Education.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Jeans Church of Lewiston, Idaho; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Burial will be held at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home & Crematory in Lewiston, Idaho.
