Jean Mac Farlane, 82, Oshkosh, died today in Mercy Medical Center.
She was born May 16, 1898, in Racine, the daughter of John and Minne Mac Farlane. Miss Mac Farlane was a member of First United Methodist Church. She graduated from Lawrence University and did graduate work at the University of Wisconsin and Ecole Normale in Paris. She taught French and English. Miss Mac Farlane taught for two years in Stevens Point and came to the Oshkosh Public School system in 1923. She retired in 1958.
She was a member of Chapter CG, POE, the 20th Century Club, the Women's Reading Club and the American Association of University Women.
There are no immediate survivors.
Services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in First United Methodist Church, the Rev. Stephen Rankin officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Friends may call at Seefeld Church Avenue Chapel on Friday from 5-8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday after 12:30 p.m.
