Mrs. Charles Madenwald, 78, of 1103 Marshall street, died early today at the Holy Family hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the First German Evan. Lutheran church, the Rev. L.H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Madenwald, nee Ernestina Stern, was born at Maple Grove in 1863 and in 1887 was married to Mr. Madenwald. They located in Brillion where Mr. Madenwald operated a cheese factory for many years. Later he moved to Brillion.
On the death of her husband 15 years ago Mrs. Madenwald came to this city to reside with her son, George.
Survivors are four sons, George, Nelson and Reuben of this city; Charles of Milwaukee; daughter, Mrs. Albert Dusold of this city; four brothers, Gust, of Brillion, David and Henry of Kaukauna, William of Madison; and six grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home from Saturday at 7 p.m. until Monday at 10 a.m. It will be moved to the church at that hour and may be viewed until the hour of the services.
