Mrs. Nelson W. Madenwald, 61, of 1003-A S. 10th St., Manitowoc, died early Saturday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient for about a week.

Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, with the Rev. Donald Stannard officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

She was born Elizabeth Catherine Havolvitz (sic) July 24, 1900, in the Town of Franklin, daughter of the late Mat and Elizabeth Chizek Havolvitz. Feb. 7, 1925, she was married to Nelson W. Madenwald at Manitowoc. He died in 1951. She had recently been employed at Holy Family Hospital.

Surviving are three brothers, Edward and Emil of the Town of Gibson and James of Denmark; seven sisters, Mrs. Frank Warm of Maribel, Mrs. Adolph Swetlik of Kellnersville, and Mrs. Julia Pech, Mrs. John H. Hoge, Mrs. Gilbert Ruzek, Mrs. Clarence Luedtke and Mrs. Ray Voghanz of Manitowoc.
