HEART ATTACK PROVES FATAL
Joseph Madson Dies At St. Nazianz Today

When those in the bar room of John Wiedencheck, proprietor of the St. Nazianz opera house, went to arouse Joseph Madson, 34, farm hand, who had fallen asleep at a table early this morning, they discovered that he was dead. He had been stricken with a heart attack.

Dr. A.W. Stueck, named coroner last week, had his first call but decided that no inquest was necessary.

Madson, who was employed as a farm hand near St. Nazianz, often visited the opera house in the village and did not complain of feeling ill when he conversed with friends last night. Later in the evening he sat down at a table and buried his head in his arms. Others believed that he just dozed off and not until it came time to close up at 1:30 this morning was it discovered that Madson was dead.

Madson was single and is survived by his father Andrew, who is visiting at Sturgeon Bay, a brother, Louis, and a sister, Mrs. Molly Beckstrom, both of St. Nazianz.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed but will probably be held at St. Nazianz on Friday.
