Mrs. Della A. Madson, 82, of 1016A No. 13th Street, Manitowoc, died Monday evening, January 14, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.

Mrs. Madson was born April 1, 1902, at Prague, Czechoslovakia, daughter of the late Frank and Anna Jarosh Skala. She came to the United States as a young child, coming to Manitowoc in 1904. Mrs. Madson attended schools in the Manitowoc School District. She married Emil Madson on October 18, 1924, at Manitowoc. The couple residing here. He preceded her in death in 1962. Mrs. Madson was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist of Manitowoc, VFW Auxiliary and Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mary Rein of Manitowoc, a sister-in-law, Harriet Skala of Two Rivers; a brother-in-law, George Vetting of Manitowoc and nieces and nephews also survived. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Memorials may be made to Life Line, c/o Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Jens Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements with cremation taking place and burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
