Mrs. Harold (Isabel I.) Maertz, age 89, of 915 Rosemere Circle, Manitowoc, died Saturday evening, December 24, 1994, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 1994, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Richard C. Miller will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Isabel was born October 4, 1905, in Rib Lake, Wis., daughter of the late Arthur S. and Louisa B. Sitzman Holmes. She received her education in Green Bay. Isabel was employed with the Allen A. Company for five years in Green Bay and was also employed for 12 years in Kenosha, after which she then returned to Green Bay in 1936. She married Harold Maertz October 21, 1939, in Green Bay. After their marriage they moved to Reedsville where they lived until 1963, when they then moved to Manitowoc. After moving to Manitowoc, Isabel became employed with Park Lawn Home for several years, retiring in 1970. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harold; one brother, Alton R. Holmes, Wichita Falls, Texas, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Myron A. Maertz, on September 16, 1962; three sisters in infancy, four brothers, Everette, Russel, Austin and Stuart Holmes.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, and then at the church on Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10 a.m.
Memorials in her name would be appreciated to Redeemer Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.
