Mrs. Beverly A. Maertz, age 50, of 1505 Dewey St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, March 24, 1994, at her home.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Glenn H. Unke will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

The former Beverly Hrudka was born May 1, 1943, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Harley and Mona Degenefe Hrudka. Beverly graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc with the class of 1961. On November 11, 1961, she married Guy L. Maertz at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death February 20, 1992. She worked at James Monroe Elementary School in the English as Second Language Program. She also worked in the past for the Lakeshore Day Care Center until 1992. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son, Steven Maertz, Madison; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon (Dave) Barbeau, Manitowoc; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Raymond Hrudka, Florida, Allen (Kathleen) Hrudka, Rural Manitowoc, Randy (Vicki) Hrudka, Mishicot, Bruce (Juan) Hrudka, Reedsville, Jeff Hrudka, Madison; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Judy Hrudka, Manitowoc, Kathy (Steven) Garber, Two Rivers, Kim (Gary) Smith, Tennessee; brothers-in-law, Sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by an infant sister; Kelli, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wilbur and Issabel Maertz.

Friends may call at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

A memorial fund has been established for the American Heart Association. The Reinbold-Pfeffer Funeral Home is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
