In the 1850 census, Albion was 3 years old and living with his parents Henry, a carpenter,(36) and Rhoda (27) and his siblings Charles (8), William (6) Josiah (5), and Philena.

By 1860, he was 11 years old and the family was living in Township 11, Range 6, Aroostook County, Maine. In the home were parents Henry and Rhoda and children, Charles, William Josiah, Albion, Philena, Jane (9), Lorinda (8), Jessie (6), Harrison (3), and Calvin (1 month.)

On February 8, 1865, at 18 (16) years of age, Albion enlisted as a private into Co. A of the 17th Maine Infantry Regiment. He mustered out of this unit and transferred into the First Maine Heavy Artillery according to records. He mustered out of duty on September 1, 1866 at the end of the war.

On July 1, 1871, Albion married Martha F. Thompkins.

In 1880, Albion was living in Maysville, Maine and was 31 according to the census. His occupation was listed as sawyer. He and his wife Martha (30) had five children: May (8), Daniel (6), Fred (4) Daisy (2), and Fanny (1).
