Funeral services for Charlie J. Adams, 75, of Bosier City, La., were held Tuesday, May 7 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel, Mr. Dennis Rosenbaum of Sunset Acres Church of Christ officiated the 10 a.m. services. Burial was at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Adams died Saturday, May 4 at Bossier Medical Center following a lenghty illness. He was born in Rocky Creek community and had been a resident of Bossier City since 1960. He was the retired owner and operator of Charlie Adams Realty; a member of Sunset Acres Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia V. Adams; and one son, Charles J. Adams, Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Bertie Bloxom and husband, Greg of Banbury, England; step-son, Brady Nix and wife, Ethel of Mobile, Ala.; two sisters, Birdie Lee McLeod of Lucedale, and Voncile Wulff of Semmes, Ala.; two brothers, Owen Adams of Panama City, Fla., and Thurman Adams of Lucedale; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joe Bailey, Loren Morrow, Ralph Cooper, Lee Flores, Charles Lewis and Guy Clawson.
