ESCONDIDO — Lewis Cumerlotti, 69, of W. El Norte Parkway, space 328, died Dec. 31 at the Veterans' Hospital in La Jolla.
He was born July 5, 1910, in Pennsylvania and had lived in San Diego County for 27 years and in California for 43 years. He was a master sergeant in the US. Marine Corps at the time of his retirement, after 27 years of service. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife, Grace; two step-daughters, Thelma Randall, Escondido and Luella Gray of Topeka, Kan.; one step-son, Jesse Taylor of Borrego Springs; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service, with full military honors, will be held at 2 pm. Jan. 4 at Oak Hill Memorial Park and. Anton J. Killar, a Navy chaplain, will officiate.
The McLeod Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
