1860 Census: Waterloo, Jackson, Michigan: Almeda 36y; Mary 16y; Martha 12y; Henry 10y; Silas 8y; Joel 6y; Almeda 3y.
Harrison died sometime after 1856 when Almeda Sylvenia was conceived and before the 1860 census was enumerated in Aug 1860. Recently uncovered handwritten records passed down through a grand daughter of Harrison's indicates that Harrison died 4 Jun 1857. No confirming death records, either church or state, have ever been found to substantiate this date.
Harrison's burial location has never positively been identified/located. However, it is believed that he is buried with his wife in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Waterloo Twp. Township burial records for the cemetery neither supports nor does it disprove this theory. The burial plot where Almeda was buried was originally purchased and owned by Almeda's family, the Allens. The inscription honoring the memory of Harrison was inscribed on the obverse side of Almeda's marker.
