She was the daughter of the late Rev. Linwood Chaney Sr. and the late Ethel Wooding Chaney.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara V. Crowder; and three brothers, Leonard, David and Michael Chaney.
She was a former employee of Columbia Gas.
Surviving are sisters, Delores Day of Charleston and Patricia Allen and her husband, Alphonso, of Pineville, N.C.; brothers, James and Norman of Columbus, Clarence Chaney and his wife, Vera, of South Charleston, Alvin Chaney and his wife, Daphne, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Raymond Chaney and his wife, Robbie, of Florissant, Mo., and Linwood Chaney Jr. of Charleston.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2012, at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, with Rev. Carl Day officiating.
Burial will follow in Meadow Haven Memorial Park at Ingram Branch.
Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, is in charge of arrangements.
