Mrs. Walter (Viola A.) Mahlock, 80, a resident of Shady Lane Home and formerly of 1014 S. 19th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, October 26, at the home.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arno Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mrs. Mahlock, nee Viola Voigt, was born Sept. 20, 1902, at Collins, Wis., daughter of the late Louis and Ida Zorn Voigt. She grew up and was educated in the Town of Rockland and was married to Walter P. Mahlock Jan. 22, 1920, at Collins. In 1921 she and her husband moved to Manitowoc. She had been employed at National Tinsel Manufacturing Company and Color Craft Printers. Her husband preceded her in death Aug. 14, 1974. Mrs. Mahlock was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Calo and Mary Mahlock of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and William Christel of Route 1, Valders; five grandchildren, Bruce Mahlock, Nan Anstutz and Martha Vowles of Fort Wayne, Peter Mahlock of Louisville, Ky., and Sarah McGinnis of Detroit, Mich.; eight grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Elsie Voigt of Valders and Lorraine Voigt of Manitowoc and nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Harvey and Elmer Voigt, preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday and at the church from noon until the time of service.
