EUGENE CHRISTIAN MAHNKE
(1896 - 1965)
Eugene Mahnke, 69, of Chicago, former Manitowoc resident, died Friday of a coronary attack.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Skeeles Colonial Funeral Chapel, 86th Pl. and Stoney Island Ave., Chicago, followed by cremation. The ashes will be brought to Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Mahnke was born at Manitowoc April 9, 1896, son of the late John Sr., and Elizabeth Hein Mahnke. He attended Lutheran parochial and high school at Manitowoc and was a graduate of Tri-State College, Angola, Ind. He was an electrician and had worked for a railroad firm. Mr. Mahnke never married.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Lydia Lewis, of Los Angeles, Calif., a niece and a nephew. Three brothers preceded him in death.
