Danny was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City.
He was a son of Nina Sheets Markland Brown, Johnson City, and the late James Markland.
Danny was employed with Grindstaff Automotive Group.
He attended First Freewill Baptist Church.
Danny enjoyed playing Airsoft with his sons and was a member of the "Mountain Men Malitia."
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Wanda Markland, Johnson City; two sons, Danny Markland Jr. and Zachary Markland, both of Johnson City; one brother, James Markland Jr. and wife, Sherry, Johnson City; one sister, Tina Corkum and husband, Wade, Stanley, NC; two half-sisters, Crissy and Jamie, both of Johnson City; two step-brothers, Audie and Vince, both of Johnson City; a special friend, Sherry Cox, Johnson City; five uncles, Gary, Gordon, Rick, Jerry and Lynn Sheets; one niece.
The memorial service for Danny will be held Monday, March 5, 2012, at 6:00 P.M. in First Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Trott officiating.
