Chris J. (Erville) Shriver, 87, of Route 2 Malta, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at his home following a five year illness. Mr. Shriver was retired employee of the Mosaic Tile Co., of Zanesville and was a member of the Reinersville United Methodist Church. He was born Nov. 7, 1895, in Noble County, a son of George and Carolyn Shriver. Mr. Shriver's first wife, Velma Allen Shriver, died in 1932. Surviving are his widow, Ora Farus Shriver; five daughters, Mary Belle O'Neil of Zanesville. Mae Brookover of Akron, Carolyn Guffey of Malta, Marilyn Roth and Pamela Alderman, both of Columbus; nine sons, Gary of Route 1, McConnelsville, Richard of Route 3, Malta, Harold of Zanesville, Hugh of Blandensburg, Jerry of Buckeye Lake, Robert of Newark, Denzil of Route 3, McConnelsville, and Rodney and Ronald, both of Route 1, Stockport; 38 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
