John W. Napiezinski, age 85, of 1433 N. 6th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, April 7, 1999, at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 1999, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Mathew Simonar with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Graveside Military rites will be accorded by the American Drews-Bleser Post #88.

John was born September 16, 1913, in Manitowoc, son of the late Joseph and Lucy LaFond Napiezinski. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1930. John also served with the United States Army during World War II. On April 1, 1944, he married the former Alice Mae Borths at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on June 14, 1997. John retired in 1997 from the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company. He was a charter member of the Manitowoc Barbershoppers and also a member of the Boilermakers Union #443. John was also a former member of the American Legion Drews-Bleser Post #88.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and William Stow, Palatine, Ill.; four grandchildren, Rachel Razalenti, Robyn Razalenti, Randi Razalenti, and Serino Stow; one great-granddaughter, Amanda Lombardo; one sister, Ruth Taugher, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. John was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Raymond; five sisters, Dorothy, Sylvia, Vivian, Salome and Grace.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday morning at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
