DEATH COMES TO PIONEER ON HER BIRTHDAY

Death came to Mrs. W.C. Neils, Sr., pioneer resident of the city, on the day that marked the 77th anniversary of her birth, Mrs. Neils passing away at her home 1601 Marshal street yesterday afternoon. Injuries and the shock of a fall several months ago had left Mrs. Neils in feeble health and in her advanced years she was unable to withstand the decline which set in.

Mrs. Neils, nee Augusta Schmidt, was born at Berlin, Germany, in 1849, and came to America at the age of 15 the family locating at Sheboygan. She was married in 1877 to Mr. Neils who with two children, Mrs. Almo Schalowitz and W.C. Neils, Jr., both of this city survive. A sister Mrs. C. Zahnow and a brother Fred Schmidt, of Sheboygan and five grandchildren survive.
