CASSOPOLIS -- Betty G. Brady, 81, of 21665 Shiawasse St., died Thursday (March 31, 2005) at Hospice House of St. Joseph County, South Bend.
She was born Oct. 8, 1923, in Harbor Beach, to Robert and Clara (Schrott) Gerow.
She married John M. Brady Sr. on May 15, 1942, in Waycross, Ga. He died June 20, 2003.
Surviving are three daughters, Colleen (David) Wenger of Grand Rapids, Jeanee (Len) Schaefer of Cassopolis, and Marjorie (Jerry) Lolmaugh of Niles; four sons, Charles E. Brady of Cassopolis, John M. (Shari) Brady Jr. and Michael (Theresa) Brady, both of Edwardsburg, and Daniel (Celeste) Brady of Dowagiac; three sisters, Marie (Roy) McClure of New River, Ariz., Dorothy O'Rourke of Davison, Mich., and Patricia Arntz of Harbor Beach, Mich.; 24 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Goniwicha; one daughter, Sheila K. Brady; and one son, Robert J. Brady.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Connelly Funeral Home, 202 N. Broadway St., Cassopolis, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Ann Catholic Church, 421 N. Broadway St., Cassopolis. The Rev. Donald G. Potts will officiate. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis.
Mrs. Brady was a homemaker. She moved from Palms, Mich., to Cassopolis in 1963. She attended of St. Patrick Church in Palms and was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and a member of Daughters of St. Ann.
Memorials may be given to St. Ann Catholic Church or Hospice House of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
