Only surviving child of Chauncey A. King and Catherine N. (Provost) King, who died in Chatham 3 weeks after his birth. He was the step-son of Chauncey's 2nd wife Caroline Mickle, half-brother of their daughter Elizabeth "Lizzie" King Johnson (all except Catherine, whose grave I cannot find, are buried in Chatham Union Cemetery), husband of Mary Louise Margetts of England, and father of their son and only child, Starr Margetts King, Sr.
A carpenter for the Boston & Albany Railroad in Pittsfield, MA since 1916, he was struck and killed by a car on his way to or from (probably from) work on the evening of Mar 1, 1936. The driver, 25-year old electrician John W. Butler of Cheshire, was driving with a mud-covered windshield and without a license, and was arrested and charged with "operating so as to endanger."
