He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Margrete Craft; and brothers, Leon, George and Opal, who died in childhood.
He is survived by a daughter of Bossier City; sister and husband of Anacoco; brother and wife of Anacoco and many nieces and nephews.
After high school in Anacoco, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam receiving an honorable discharge. He was employed by the state of Louisiana, retiring from the Sabine River Authority.
Services were July 9 with full military honors at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Bro. Al Van Dyke presided. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project or the D.A.V.
