Note on Augustus and family provided by a Find A Grave visitor

Birth year is 1832; some documents say France; some say New York; However, a large number of Broussards migrated from Canada, went to Louisanna; and Augustus father also named Augustus was tagged from France and also Switzerland. In
addition they did migrate to Landy, Louisanna were Augustus Broussard son of Augustus Broussard married Agathi Agnes Be or Ba or Besonson who also was from France son certified by US Slavery Census's tagged him as a Black Male; 18; in Landy Louisanna; not too long after that he skiddaled back to New York the to Canada again. There is no record so far as to why they tagged him as a Slave and no record of Besonson here in the states. Thus far! I am his third current grandchild and I am dumbfounded as I was led to believe that I was Caucasian and now that I have done Ancestry.com I am finding out that the Linn name is very prolific with aggregate amounts of many ethnic backgrounds.
