WOODLAND and CARIBOU Donald C. Brown, 77, died July 18, 2007, in Caribou. He was born April 26, 1930, in Woodland, the son of Chester and Vina (Dionne) Brown. He attended Woodland and Caribou schools, and was a member of Gray Memorial United Methodist Church. He married Winnifred Wilcox, Aug. 24, 1949. Don was a self-employed farmer and potato grower, having farmed on the Brown Road, Woodland, for many years. He also owned and operated Don Browns Grading Service for many years. Don was a member of Star City Senior Citizens Club and was a former member of Caribou Lions Club. Surviving, in addition to his wife of more than 57 years, Winnifred of Caribou, are his two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Gary Warne of Las Vegas, and Ruth Atwood of Alexandria, La.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Priscilla and Keith Neilander of Woodland, and Nancy and Fred Gill of Wildwood, Fla.; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many special friends. Mr. Brown was predeceased by a son-in-law, Charles Atwood. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 21, from the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Anna Beach, pastor of Gray Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating.
