Mr. William H. Bowyer Jr., age 79, of Hilltop, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at Ansted Center, in Ansted.
Born February 8, 1930, in Longacre, W. Va, he was a son of the late William Hurley Bowyer Sr. and Bessie May (Barker) Bowyer. He was preceded in death by his wife,Beatrice (Treadway) Bowyer, on November 30, 2008. Mr. Bowyer was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a delivery service truck driver and attended Red Star Baptist Church.
Surviving: a son, Daniel A. (Amy) Bowyer of Mt. Lookout; and a sister, Faye E. A. (Duane L.) Shelgosh of Akron, Ohio.
There will be a two hour visitation 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in Ansted.
