SPRINGFIELD - Robert C. Britts, 53, of Springfield, died on July 7, 2012 at 1:15 p.m. att Memorial Medical Center. He was born on November 12, 1958 in Hannibal, MO to Harry Louis and Ann Marie Sephus Britts.
Robert graduated from Lanphier High School in 1976. He was married to Julie Marie Rhine at Monroe Street Christian Church on July 8, 1989. He was formerly employed by University of Illinois untill Febuary 1, 2005 when he became ill.
Robert was a member of Monroe Street Christian Church where he was baptized into Christ on May 19, 1968, former choir member, member of Tuesday night Bible Study Class. He was a former member of the Boy Scouts under Scout MasterTerry Ranson. He was a member of Springfield Boys and Girls Club. Robert was a drummer in both the Falcon and the Statesmen Drum and Bugle Corps.
Robert was preceded in death by his Father, his maternal and paternal grandparents and one niece
Leaving to cherish his memory: wife, Jullie Britts: Mother: Ann Marie Britts: two sons, Rasheem Rhine and Richard Louise Britts of springfield: one brother, Roderick G. Britts (wife, Mary Beth) of Springfield: two granddaughters, Natieanna Nicole and Saniya Louise Britts of Springfield: a host of nephews and cousins
Visitation will be on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Monroe Street Christian Church, with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. James A. Johnson officiating. W.W.White Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
