James Nathan Jennings, age 44, of Greenbrier, went to be with the Lord, Monday, August 2, 2004 at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock.

Born November 18, 1959 at Conway Hospital, a son of Marcell (Tarkington) Jennings of Greenbrier and the late Festus Jennings.

James was a graduate of Greenbrier High School and a member of Greenbrier High School Band. He worked for Damascus 7 years, including 4 years as Chief of Police. He was a member of the Arkansas Narcotics Officer's Association, Arkansas Chief of Police Association, and was a graduate of the Academy of Pocahontas, AR. He was also a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier.

Survivors include his wife, Cleo Diane (Farmer) Jennings of Greenbrier; a daughter, Miranda Widener and husband, Kevin of Clinton; a son, Brant Jennings of Greenbrier; a son, Michael Quattlebaum of Houston, AR; a daughter, Lindsey Jennings of Greenbrier; two sisters, Carolyn West and Donita Hartwick of Greenbrier; two grandsons, Zach and Zeb Widener of Clinton; three nephews, two nieces, and nine great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Gaylon King officiating. Interment will follow at Thorn Cemetery.
