Howard M. Adams Sr., 82, of 32 Riverfront, died early this morning at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. He was the husband of Margaret (Hall) Adams.
Mr. Adams had worked at Towle Manufacturing Co. as a tool maker for many years.
He was born in Haverhill, June 29, 1906, the son of John I. and Jennie A. (Walker) Adams. He was a 1924 graduate of Haverhill High School and a 1926 graduate of Wentworth Institute, Boston. Mr. Adams was a member of St. John's Lodge, AF&AM of Newburyport.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Howard M. Adams Jr. of Newbury, Kenneth J. Adams of Newburyport and Selectman Alan I. Adams of Newbury; a sister, Beulah Mitchell of Charlton; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted Friday afternoon at a time to be announced, from the Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Funeral Home, 35 Green St., Newburyport, by St. John's Lodge. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Newburyport.
Calling hours at the funeral home are tomorrow, 2-4 and 7-9.
