Hold Rites for Mrs. Havlichek
Stricken with a heart attack at her farm home near Bolt, in the town of Franklin,
Kewaunee County, Mrs. Theresa Havlichek, 86, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon.
The former Theresa Melnarik(sic) was born in Czechoslovakia, Sept. 28, 1867, a
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Melnarik. When she was six years old the
family came to this country settling in the Town of Franklin. She married Charles
Havlichek in 1882 at Francis Creek. Mr. Havlichek died in 1929.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Yanda of Tisch Mills, Miss Anna of
Chicago; three sons, Charles and Anton of Two Rivers and George on the home farm;
a sister, Mrs. George Koenig of the Town of Franklin; 12 grandchildren and 10 great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 8:30 am at the Klein and Stangel Inc.
Funeral Home at Two Rivers and at 9:30 at St. Mary Catholic Church at Tisch Mills.
The Rev. Joseph Kalisek officiated and burial was in St. Mary Cemetery there.
