Matt Sloup, 86, retired Kewaunee county farmer, died last night at the homestead two miles west of Tisch Mills. He had been seriously ill only two days.
Mr. Sloup was born in Europe and came to this country at an early age. He married Miss Mary Mach and they located on the family farm at Franklin, Kewaunee county. Twenty years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Sloup retired and the farm was taken over by their son Joseph.
Survivors are the widow;

two daughters,
*Mrs. Kate Buresh, city;
*Mrs. Edward Swande, Milwaukee;
sister,
*Mrs. Mary Younger, Milladore, Wis.; and nine grandchildren.
