Earl A. Bruemmer, 92, Tisch Mills died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at Aurora BayCare Center.

He was born July 2, 1916, in the town of Carlton, to the late Joseph M. and Edna (Messman) Bruemmer.

He married Leona Bodwin on Feb. 22, 1941, at Holy Cross Church in Mishicot.

Earl graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1934. He and his wife operated the Messman homestead farm at Sandy Bay in the town of Carlton and later farmed in Two Creeks and Tisch Mills. Earl also worked at Hamachek Machine Co. and Kewaunee Engineering for many years. Earl continued his love of farming until his death, supplying free eggs to the villagers. He was a lifelong member of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, a member of the Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus and the Boilermakers Union.

Survivors include Leona, his wife of 67 years; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Peggy and Fred Kohnle, Tisch Mills; Jane and Ron Zimmerman, Two Creeks; and Lois Skrivanie, Manitowoc; six grandchildren, Chris (Bev) Kohnle, Matt (Elizabeth) Kohnle, Aaron Zimmerman, Liz Zimmerman, Cary Luedtke and Jay Luedtke; four great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Sam, Claire and Payton Kohnle.

He was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Walter Skrivanie.
